The casual sweater is work double-stranded (1 strand Milano and 1 strand Modena) and seamlessly from the top down starting at the neckline. First, the round neck is worked flat, from it arise the stitches for the back, front and for the accentuated shoulder lines. In the further course of the work, the shoulder slopes and the final width of front and back develop by increases on both sides of the shoulder lines, later by increases within the shoulder lines the sleeves. The collar is knitted on later.

• MILANO 225 (250/275) g in Navy 11 and MODENA 125 (150/150) g in Navy 11, 7 stitch markers (of which one in a contrasting color), 1 tapestry needle



GAUGE

• 23 sts und 36 rnds double-stranded (1 strand Milano and Modena each) in main pattern using needles size 4 mm (US 6) = 10 x 10 cm / 4“ square


NEEDLES

• circular needles size 3,5 mm and 4 mm (US 4 and 6), short (40 cm) circular needles of each size, 5 dpns size 3.5 mm (US 4)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

• Circumference at bust = 111 (120/128) cm / 43.5 (47/50.5)“

• Length = 65 (68/71) cm / 25.5 (27/28)“

• Sleeve to underarm = 49 (50/51) cm / 19 (19.5/20)“
