The open-front jacket with knitted on batwing sleeves is worked entirely double stranded and seamlessly top down and starts at the accentuated shoulderline at the top of back part. First, back and sleeves are worked until sleeves have reached their final length. Subsequently, the two front parts are worked from shoulderline and the edges of front parts are directly finished with an I-Cord. When final sleeve length has been reached here as well, sleeves are knitted together and bound off using the 3-needle-BO method and sleeve cuffs are also edged with an I-Cord.
Inner pockets are knitted directly from the body, after which they are edged with a ribbed border.
Alternatively, this jacket can also be worked single stranded using Como Grande.

GAUGE/TENSION 

• 17 sts and 28 rows using ndl size 5.5 mm (US 9/UK 5) and double stranded (2 strands Como) in main pattern = 10 × 10 cm / 4” square

• 80 - 100 cm / 32 - 40” circ. ndls size 4.5 mm (US 7/UK 7) and size 5.5 mm (US 9/UK 5), 2 dpns size 5.5 mm (US 9/UK 5) (for pockets)
