The college-style bouclé jacket with dropped, backward-shifted shoulders is worked top down in one piece, starting at the accentuated shoulder line in the upper back. First, the back is worked down to the armholes; then, the two front parts are worked in the opposite direction, starting from the shoulder line. At the bottom of the armholes, back and fronts are joined. Later, work is temporarily separated again to work the kangaroo pockets and then rejoined. The jacket is finished with a striped ribbed border made from a thinner yarn; the additional stitches needed for this are increased in the first row.
The sleeves are knitted directly onto the jacket and are worked top down, in the round. The neckline ribbing and pocket facings are knitted on afterward.
The body and sleeve lengths can be adjusted to fit; if necessary, more yarn will be needed for this.

2 stitch markers, 1 tapestry needle, (Prym) flat silver anorak snap fasteners (diameter 20 mm)

• 16 sts and 28 rows/rnds using ndl size 4.5 mm (US 7/UK 7) and COMO Grande Bouclé in main pattern = 10 × 10 cm / 4“ square
