The open-front, oversized jacket with dropped, backward-shifted shoulders, is worked entirely double stranded and in 1 piece top down in St st with a simple stripe pattern and starts at the accentuated shoulderline at the top of back part.
First, back is worked down to the underarms, subsequently, both front parts are worked in opposite direction from back shoulderline, after which they are joined together with back part at underarms. Stitches for ribbed border, along with corresponding stitches for front, are picked up in an overlapping manner from back and then knitted along with the front parts.
The sleeves are knitted on jacket and are worked top down and flat. Sleeve seams are closed afterward.
