Baby Vest (03/08)

The cute buttoned vest is suitable for babies aged 3-6 and 9-12 months and is worked in one piece, from the bottom border up to the armholes, and is closed at the shoulders using the 3-needle bind off technique. The pattern is made of rows in garter stitch and fine lines in simple lace pattern which also form the button holes. The pattern is explained in writing.

MATERIAL
• 50 (75) g COMO Tweed in LIGHT GREY (42T)
• 4 buttons (diameter approx. 12 mm/0.5”), possibly 4 more buttons (diameter approx. 14 mm/0.6”)

GAUGE
• 24 sts and 42 rows in main pattern, using 3.5 mm (US 4/UK 10 or 9) needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4” square


NEEDLES
• Circular needles size 3.5 mm (US 4 / UK 10 or 9)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Circumference at bust = 50 (56) cm / 20 (22)“
• Length = 25 (31) cm / 10 (12)“
